/Mi-ni-por-trait/ A small container for holding precious objects, or just those which are special to the owner, which makes them even more important: a recurring theme in the literature of all eras – how could we forget Portia’s three caskets in the Merchant of Venice – in this case it becomes a jewel box which conceals in its interior a small mirror, the symbol of feminine beauty and a reflection of the vanity linked to image.
Designed by Studio Lido, Miniportrait is a line of two boxes reproducing the pleats of oriental fans.
Capsizing the cover, it can be used as a little mirror, supported by a partition carved out inside the box. Special magnets let the cover hide all the secrets inside.
Made from a block of solid cherry wood.

It is a virtuous platform, conceived by Flavia Testi and Stefano Rossi, which – by operating within a limited area – guarantees the quality of human relations between all those involved, traceability of the materials used and the sustainability of the entire production process.
Production which is at the same time exclusive and local, which does not conform to industrial product standardisation, in order to follow new and different expressive visions and languages.
