The Do Book Company is an independent publishing house based in east London. They publish inspirational pocket guides for creative entrepreneurs, makers and Doers.

Do Books aim is to recreate that same positive change in book form – whether that’s the mastery of a new skill or craft, a simple mind shift, or a shot of inspiration to help you get started or work smarter. Each book is fairly short, about 100 pages, as it focuses on the ‘doing’ rather than the background theory. A royalty of 5% from each sale goes back into the Do Lectures to help it achieve its aim of making positive change.

The company began after its founder, Miranda, sent a speculative email to the Do Lectures asking if they had considered publishing books by their speakers. Co-founders, David and Clare Hieatt, replied that day and a Skype call was arranged. About a year later (give or take a few months), a new publishing company launched with five books – all written by Do speakers and featuring covers by American artist and designer, James Victore.
